Dalton and Megan were married at The Ivey House on May 8, 2021. It was the most beautiful, laidback, love-filled wedding at one of the most creatively classic wedding venues in East Tennessee. The Ivey House was created with the intention of holding weddings, but they host so many events and often allow photographers to come and do mini sessions regularly there, as well as standard sessions. Dustin and Colleen are some of the most endearing venue owners and truly try to make every person who steps on their property feel like family.

This wedding was special to me for so many reasons. I have watched Dalton grow up the last 10 years, from a middle schooler who was slightly shorter than me, to a towering gentle giant with a love for Megan that is unmatched. I photographed their prom pictures, and a lot of Dalton’s life between middle school and graduation. It was also special to me because it was my first wedding at The Ivey House, after doing mini sessions, families, seniors, and more there! I was so excited!

I felt like family, and Dalton challenged me to create a photo for him I had never tried before, but I loved the end result!
